Ahead Multimedia AB was founded in 1988 by Henrik Ahlen in Stockholm, Sweden. The company became Sweden's leading professional multimedia production house, growing to 40 employees by 1995 when it was acquired by Bonnier Publishing Group, one of Scandinavia's largest publishing conglomerates.
