Micro Forté is a longstanding independent Australian game development studio based in Canberra, Australia, with a studio in Sydney. Founded in 1985, the studio is best-known in its earlier days for Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel (2001), and currently focuses on development and co-development of virtual worlds and massively multi-player online games. Micro Forté created the Australian Game Developers Conference and the Game Developers Association of Australia, and founded the Academy of Interactive Entertainment Ltd. (AIE), an institution for aspiring game developers.
