PC (Microsoft Windows)
Awesome narrative in typical Bioware fashion. The combat is a more refined version of "Real-Time with Pause" like old-school 90s RPGs. While I think setting "routines" for your NPC party is neat, it becomes tedious micro-management, which after awhile becomes frustrating. However, The combat feels "unrefined" more than actively being bad. Additionally, DAO has some wild difficulty spikes that can be seriously challenging to overcome. At times, it just feels unfair. I turned down the difficultly to easy because I simply couldn't get past some parts. Gameplay felt like a slog and the good story couldn't make up the difference.
